Cristina Whelan, NP

Cristina Whelan, NP is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined The Spine and Pain Institute of New York in March 2009. Cristina is also on staff at Staten Island University Hospital where she treats patients in-house for consults in pain management.

She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing and her Post-Masters Advanced Certificate for Family Nurse Practitioner at Wagner College. She has extensive medical experience as she has worked for ten years at Staten Island University Hospital. Her experiences as a Registered Nurse included work in the Neurology Unit, Cardiac Care Unit, Post Operative Care Unit, and Rehabilitation Unit.

Cristina is passionate about nursing and is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care. This combined with her extensive clinical experience and comprehensive knowledge enables her to provide excellent medical care in the area of pain management.
